Reproductive Justice as a Moral Issue: A Conversation with Rev. Kelli Clement

Around the country, state legislatures are passing bills that effectively criminalize abortion and make reproductive healthcare unavailable to huge swaths of the population–especially poor folks, people of color, and rural communities. In this conversation with Rev. Kelli Clement, we’ll talk about the current political moment, a progressive theological/moral framework for abortion and reproductive justice, and how progressive people of faith can respond now, and as legal abortion and other reproductive health services come under more and more restriction and threat.

Rev. Kelli Clement is the Social Justice minister at First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis. Previously the Executive Director of the MN Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, her work is grounded in a deep commitment to reproductive health, rights, and justice. She is an eager hostess, an avid knitter, and always has a song in her heart. Kelli lives near Lake Nokomis with her husband, daughter, and poodle Memphis.
