Introducing our new Acting Executive Director!

We are writing to share exciting news about a leadership transition at MUUSJA. The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Rev. Terri Burnor will be moving into the role of Acting Executive Director effective November 16, 2024.

Rev. Terri (she/her) has served on MUUSJA’s board for the past year and has been involved with the organization in various consulting and volunteer capacities for the past seven years. She has demonstrated exceptional leadership, deep commitment, and a passion for advancing our mission across our network of area congregations. With her wide range of experience as a Unitarian Universalist minister, her leadership in nonprofit organizations, and decades as a communications professional, we are confident that Rev. Terri will be an inspiring and effective leader during this time of transition.

“I am honored to shift into this role and continue the important ongoing work we do to shape a just and loving world,” said Rev. Terri. “MUUSJA’s mission is more essential than ever as we bring our values, persistence, and yes, joy to the forefront in the wake of the election. I am eager to work collaboratively with our communities and partners as we act for justice with courage and spirit!”

The Board would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Katie Kline, who has served as Executive Director with dedication and spiritually-rooted vision over the past year, and previously as MUUSJA’s Climate Justice Organizer. We are grateful for her contributions and wish her all the best as she returns to her love of arts programming.
