Online & Aligned for Action

“Condor & Eagle” online 3/26 at 11:30 CST, with filmmaker

UU CLIMATE JUSTICE CIRCLE event: The UU Ministry for Earth is showing online a climate justice epic, “The Condor and the Eagle” on Thursday, 3/26 at 11:30 AM (Minnesota Time), followed by discussion with the filmmaker… The film showcases indigenous work for climate justice, collaboration among peoples, and resistance to the criminalization of righteous nonviolent direct action for the planet. This showing will be broadcast over Zoom, and if you miss it, there will be other showings upcoming — the Climate folks are planning on a video-streaming platform that will make it possible to watch films with really high visual and audio quality. All the details for upcoming events are at the MFE website, where you can also subscribe to their newsletter to stay updated on UU climate activism. #UUtheVOTE and organizing for #COVIDlife are also moving towards “remote” options — tune in to MUUSJA’s statewide social action convening calls, Mondays at 7 or Fridays at 11, to share ideas and plans, let us know what you need to move forward. We may be shut in, but we’re not giving up! To connect and chat with UU’s organizing “virtually” for social action:

JUSTICE FOR COVID-19 RELIEF: MUUSJA joined the call for justice in policies and funding for relief during these tough times, as an allied organization of MNcovidResponse.com . Nationally, the UUA has signed on to The People’s Bailout and the 5 Principles for Just COVID-19 Relief and Stimulus. We can develop a regenerative economy and protect and expand our democratic process as we protect each other. Please read and sign on and/or call Congress TODAY.

As always, please keep in touch; and please support us as you’re able. Interconnection, online and off, is our superpower.
