MN UU Climate Justice Circle

MUUSJA sponsors, hosts, and provides technical assistance for the monthly Minnesota UU Climate Justice Circle (UUCJC) convening calls. UUCJS is the Minnesota state affiliate of the UUA’s Ministry for Earth. We (MUUSJA and the UUCJC) team as equal collaborators on climate justice initiatives with Minnesota Interfaith Power and Light (MNIPL), as well as with other climate justice partners including MN350, Sierra Club Northstar, Will Steger – Climate Generation and the Youth Climate Strike and Sunrise Movement.

The UU Climate Justice Circles are a national initiative of the UUA Ministry for Earth (Aly Tharp, in Boston, is the main UUA organizer; Mark Bohnhorst from First Universalist has been the primary MN contact in past two years). The CJC is intended as a network for congregational education, training, organizing direct action, and serving as a “rapid response network” for UU’s with state, regional, and national connections.
