Neighbor to Neighbor, formed
from a coalition with Capitol Community Services
and Good Neighbor Foundation in 1998
is part of Metro Housing Option,
a HUD project. Neighbor to Neighbor assists families prevent homelessness
through collaborationwith Lutheran Social Services and the Metro HRA.

Goals
· Support and provide tenant education
· Assist families find permanent housing
· Help achieve housing stability
· Enhance job retention and school attendance
Ramsey County families served:
· Referred by St. Paul Housing Authority
· Referred by private landlords
· Referred by St. Paul Public Housing
· Families living in shelters
Programs address the issues
of housing retention through:
· Landlord advocacy [prevent eviction, build communication links, help
find housing]
· Case Management [counseling, Independent living plans, housing information]
· Linkage with Faith Communities [friendship support, mentoring, household
goods drives]
· Post-move counseling
