Attendees: Mary Mills (Unity), Jo Haberman & Bob Aderhold (FUS)

1. Bob Aderhold reviewed the minutes from the prior (July 3) meeting and presented the Treasurers report (a difficult task since the Treasurer had not provided one). Not knowing of any expenditures since the July meeting, it was assumed the balance continued from the prior meeting ($6,884.23)
2. The main item on the agenda was the Supportive Housing bus tour taking place on Sept 17. All systems reported as go. The bus has been arranged by CSH and 3 sites are being chosen. The decision was made at the prior meeting not to include a tour of homelessness shelters - that should be a separate event if we choose to do it. We discussed several of the details - who would do what in preparation. Ron Dueltgen and Bob Aderhold have been contacting member congregations. Nancy Hegee of Prairie Star District helped with the distribution of the message.
3. We discussed the need to get regular reports from our representative on the CSH Advisory Board. Jo was going to touch base with Carol White.
4. Mary Mills provided an update on the process established by Unity Church to explore alternatives to demolishing a building it owns adjacent to its building. The building contains affordable housing units. The church has created a task force that will meet weekly until alternatives can be formulated and presented to the Unity board. First order of business is to get a detailed estimate of what it would cost to make needed fixes. The task force consists of 9 members, including two UUAHP participants.
5. There was no Habitat report given that there was no Direct Action Committee representative at the meeting.
6. We discussed briefly various ideas for our next UUAHP Conference and, in particular, having the next conference done as part of a MUUSJA event. We decided that a major discussion item of the October meeting would be the January Conference.
7. Upcoming Meetings: The next three meetings will be held on October 2, November 6, and December 4. The October 2 meeting will be at Unity Church at 6:30 in the Robbins Parlor (top of the stairs on the second floor - Holly Avenue entrance). The November meeting will be at FUS.
