Recap and review of Peter Bell meeting
Kendyll Gibbons will not be able to give the opening remarks. Jo H. will work on getting a substitute.
The overall agenda was discussed and approved.
The questions to be asked of Mr. Bell were discussed and refined.
Publicity items will be sent to MICAH, AMS, Housing MN and others to encourage their attendance, and bring their own questions for Mr. Bell.

Mapping - Russ Adams
Russ Adams showed examples of use of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software to make geopolitical maps. The mapping software can show any possible available statistical data overlayed onto state/county/city geographical areas. This information can strengthen our affordable housing work as we identify what state and local districts UUs live in, and begin to make deeper connections between urban and suburban UUs for policy advocacy work.
Limited access is available through AMS, and perhaps through other nonprofits. The main cost is in obtaining data and putting it into a form useable by GIS. Datasharing arrangements are possible.
There will be an information and training session on GIS on May 20. Jo H, Kim L and Phil M will attend.

UUAHP Regeneration Issues
Mary Peterson raised the issue of what we're doing and how we plan to continue doing it. The group brainstormed some pertinent questions:
Who and what is UUAHP?
What work is UUAHP to do?
What is the role of individuals and individual congregations in UUAHP?
How will UUAHP deal with both metro and suburban issues?
What is appropriate funding for UUAHP, what will funds be used for, and how will they be obtained?
What are the job descriptions and expectations of Steering Committee members (i.e., officers and congregational representatives)?
What is the appropriate structure for UUAHP to accomplish its objectives?

All agreed that it is the work of the Steering Committee to answer these questions. The group decided to begin a strategic planning process for the next three years of UUAHP work. A special meeting of the Steering Committee will be scheduled at a later date.

Funding Requests
We approved $2810 funding for metro Habitat for Humanity for the 2003 builds. Ron D will have the check sent to Victoria Runnels.
We approved an additional $15,000 for Corporation for Supportive Housing, to be awarded at a time yet to be determined.

Respectfully submitted,

Ron Dueltgen
