UUAHP Steering Committee
UUAHP Meeting Minutes
March 6, 2003

Present: Jo Haberman, Phil Morton, Mary Kay Peterson,
Bob Aderhold, Barbara Weatherhead

* Mary Kay agreed to take minutes in Ron's absence.
* Treasurer's report: A total of $248 was spent on food for the conference January 24-25, leaving a balance or $22558.94. We are still expecting $5K from the FUS service auction in June.
* Funding Report: A motion was made to increase our grant to CSH by $15 K (for total of $60K revolving loan, $5K start up grant). Jo moved, Mary Kay seconded, and the motion was unanimously approved. Bob agreed to contact Carol White (our representative on CSH board) and ask for her regular feedback to UUAHP, either a monthly written report or attend UUAHP meetings to report.
* Direct Service Report: Victoria Runnels is stepping down from Habitat Steering Committee direction. Mary Kay will check with Victoria about whether we should include that information in our newsletter submission. Habitat needs more workers on April 5. We need to verify summer build dates- Mary Kay will call Carol Koep. CBC project is moving very slowly.
* Public Policy Report: HF30 (Land Use Planning Act Repeal) hearings are cancelled for now. MICAH is in the process of picking their next project/issues to focus on. NRP- $2 million in affordable housing funds are threatened and city council to vote soon. Bob will check with MHFA for report.
* UUAHP steering committee decided to sponsor a planning meeting with our partners, to be held at MICAH offices, to discuss having an open meeting of some kind with Peter Bell, new Met Council chair.
* Mary will do newsletter article this month and get to Barbara within 48 hours.
