Unleashing courageous leadership and collective power
to realize a just and loving world.
Since the police murder of Philando Castile, the Twin Cities has seen freeway shutdowns, public protests and the occupation in front of the Governor’s mansion. Many well-meaning white folks are now saying that they “believe in the cause” of the Movement for Black Lives, but they are struggling to understand and support these tactics of disruption. Join us to learn together about the theory and history of these tactics and also to grapple together with the discomfort these actions create. This is our work to do as white folks so that we can work in sacred solidarity to upend racism and the end violence of whiteness.
*All are welcome. And this event is designed specifically to help us disrupt the “stuck-ness” and fragility of white discomfort.
