Unleashing courageous leadership and collective power
to realize a just and loving world.
It's that time of year again! The 2016 Twin Cities Pride Parade & Festival are just around the corner, and as we have for the past several years, MUUSJA is serving as the convener for the Minnesota UU Community who would like to witness together in affirmation of our faith's unwavering affirmation and celebration of LGBTQIA+ people. Together, we represent Unitarian Universalism and our radically affirming message to the thousands of people from around the state and region who attend Twin Cities Pride, many of whom have been told that they will never be accepted by a faith community. We want YOU to join us in celebrating the entire, beautiful rainbow of identity and love, and extending that UU affirmation to everyone at 2016 Pride!
The MUUSJA Booth at the Twin Cities Pride Festival is always a fantastic way for us to connect with our community, tell people about the powerful message of our faith, and have a great time celebrating Pride. This year, we are especially grateful to Rev. Jim Foti, Assistant Minister at the First Unitarian Society of Minneapolis, who has agreed to be our Pride Booth Coordinator. Rev. Jim will be scheduling shifts at the booth, which will take place from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, June 25-26.
This year, we will be using the Booth as a place to actively engage Festival-goers about Unitarian Universalism--our message, our congregations, our beliefs, our practices. We are looking for a crew of Minnesota UUs from a wide variety of our congregations to welcome and engage people about our shared faith! If you're someone who has a passion for talking about Unitarian Universalism, and extending welcome engagement to others, this job is for you!
Please RSVP using this form, and Rev. Jim will contact you directly to schedule your shift.
